UK road familiarisation Courses
These courses are designed for drivers who can drive and are new to the country but DO NOT
need to take the UK Driving Test
These courses include:
• Having the correct vehicle documentation
• Vehicle legal and safety issues
• Driving on the left side of the road
• Understanding different road layouts
• Road signs and markings
• Using road maps and Satellite Navigation (optional)
Under UK driving laws anyone from outside the EU that holds an International Driving Licence can
drive on our roads for up to a year before having to pass the Theory and Driving Test.
Our courses will include many of the above plus the 4 manoeuvres (see learning to drive) too get you through the test.
Lessons are usually taught in 1 or 2 hour sessions but as tight date and time scales are often involved these sessions are flexible dependant on drivers experience and Instructors availability.
